Many people are now seeing massage as not a luxury, but as a necessary part of being healthy.
Reguardless of the adjectives we assign to it ( pampering, rejuvenating, therapeutic) or the reasons we seek it out ( a luxurious treat, stress relief or pain management); massage therapy can have powerful effects to your over health. The amazing benefits are doubly so when taken in regular doses. The more you get the more it does. Nothing ages us faster , internally and externally, then high stress. While eliminating anxiety and pressure altogether is idealistic; massage can without a doubt, help manage stress. Budgeting time and money for bodywork at consistent intervals is truly and investment in your health and wellness.
Benefits: Massage and bodywork can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Massage and bodywork are also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety, and create an overall sense of well-being.
Are There Any Medical Conditions That Would Make Massage or Bodywork Inadvisable?
It’s imperative that before you begin your session, you answer general health questions. You will be required to fill out a form with questions about specific health conditions. There are certain conditions where massage would be harmful or detrimental to the body, called Contraindications. It is very important that you inform me of any health problems or medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor’s care, it is strongly advised that you receive a written recommendation for massage or bodywork prior to any session. Depending on the condition I may require a recommendation or approval from your doctor.
Minimum Space Required = 12’x8’
I can work in smaller spaces positioning the table diagonally across the available space, but I feel the massage is better with at least ten by seven feet ! |
